relationship building is pivotal to the success of our school and success of our students Memphis School of Excellence we try our best to incorporate excellence in everything we do is sports whether it's academics whether it's test scores anything we do we try to push our students to the best you prepared to be Global Citizens College and career Readiness is a priority we also pride ourselves on our ability to reach students with their social emotional well-being class you got it post close to in the area to in the court of our campus both of time is a k through 12 structure 95% of our students are free and reduced lunch it is a tuition-free education here at Mac we are trying to provide a safe and positive environment for our students parents and faculty as well my daughter is Leila she's in the first grade she loves the school it was stem focused and it was smaller classrooms and that's what I was looking for I wanted more Hands-On involvement with my child her academic growth and her personality it's just blossoms and she's been here you're making your baking soda p you believe the science technology engineering and meds support our students future with the stem education our students will have better life they will have better job opportunities still miss Hands-On it's interactive it's fun you know it gives them the opportunity to explore and to figure out and I think MSC does a very good job of just exposing them to that and then their love for the field just kind of naturally come when I grow up I want to go into computer engineering I get to take a computer 3 times a week and I know that those classes can help me increase my chances until getting in the college and the college path that I want hurry up gets class the students are an amazing students I do my best to interact with them each and every day so that they can know that I'm not just their principal oh I'm Thirty figure but I'm here to help guide them along their path and my greatest gift is my teachers I have teachers who actually loved children and who actually want to be here and do this work I think my role as a teacher just helps to build our students to allow them to gain confidence and to know that this is a safe place when you have teachers like mine they make learning fun it's just a safe school and fun to be around with the teachers the people you feel calm yes they teach like you also kind of like connect with them they know you and they watch out for you I have told a lot of my family and friends that this is the happiest I have been in education my entire career I like to stay when students started MSE they don't leave I enjoy seeing our students come back to work at our campus I just smiled like a proud parent because those are the products that we produce I actually graduated from MSC I was a part of the founding class and I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher I feel very supported here um at this school from the top down MSC is a great school is very family orientated it's small so a lot of students come in they feel like it's home that's why I try my best to be as a role model from a former student to now being an alumni employee so I'm a fourth grade math teacher when I went here I had some amazing teachers I always was not good with math they made it very easy for me to learn I've recently discovered my love for math while teaching these kids over the last years we've been a level 5 school many of our campuses that is the highest level of academic success measured in the state of Tennessee we measure our success by parent surveys we measure our success by the fact that we have a waiting list and this is a secret gem here in the in Memphis Community they have 100% High School graduation rate 100% College acceptance rate we've grown from 1 Campus to 4 and as we grow that means that we can impact more students and hopefully they go to college and become successful City and that's the ultimate goal 1 2 3 4 5 6
