I will be out 5/18. Below you will find the instructions for this assignment. I have included examples from Spanish 2 and the letter that we read in class for your reference. I have added a document with how to format your letter and some useful expressions. 


You are going to write a love letter (in Spanish) to a food or drink item of your choice. Use the blank slide attached to write your letter. You will need the following:

1. A greeting
2. The name of your favorite food or drink item
3. 2 things that you like to put on your food item or 2 things you like to eat with your favorite drink item
4. 3 adjectives to describe your food or drink item
5. List two food or drink items that you don't love as much as your favorite (Ej. Te quiero mas que...)
6. A picture of that food or drink item and decorate your slide (You can break your letter into 2 slides if needed. Some examples are included)
7. A closing with your name

In total it should be 5-6 sentences long

I will not be in class today. This is the assignment that you will work on. You are going to choose a holiday or celebration from the Latino/Hispanic community to research. You cannot choose Dia de los Muertos as your holiday. It needs to be a holiday that has not been covered in class.

You will list the products, practices and perspectives of the holiday. You will need to list 5 facts in each column. Use the powerpoint included if you forget the meaning of products, practices and perspectives.

You will add 5 pictures of that event.

You will fill out the chart comparing and contrasting the holiday to one from your own culture. You need 5 facts in each column.

You are going to listen to a song. You will fill in the missing lyrics of the song in the blanks.

You will choose a genre of music from the list below. You are going to do some research on that genre of music. You will need to research:
Country or countries of origin
Three artists or groups from that genre of music
From those three artists/groups you will choose one song from each artist/group to listen to.
